If you‘re new to Studio Zen, please inquire for yoga sessions in the comfort of your home or business, such as hosting special events and occasions. This could include workshops in partner yoga, laughter yoga, mindful meditation and more.

CUSTOMIZED PROGRAMS
At-home sessions can be scheduled at your convenience. All programs are tailored to suit your needs and abilities. We start the process with a half-hour consultation and build on the basics and progress gradually.
The program can include a personalized mindful yoga practice, relaxation techniques and breathing exercises that will help you to manage stress and pain, and can be completed on your own time.
Weekly, bi-weekly and monthly sessions can be scheduled.

As the Owner and Founder of Studio Zen, I instil love and care into all of our health and wellness programs. My vision is to share the healing aspects of yoga classes in all of the ways it has helped me: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Annalisa felt compelled to help others find their inner strength after recovering from multiple illnesses and the tragic loss of a loved one.
She discovered yoga in 2009 and immediately fell in love with the health and wellness practice with her first breath. Her exhausted body and stressed mind began to buzz with a peaceful, blissful feeling – something she hadn’t felt in years.
Ever since, Annalisa has strived to offer a safe, welcoming and grounding experience for all ages, body types and abilities. Some of her yoga classes include Gentle Beginners, Restorative, Vinyasa Flow and Laughter Yoga.
Taking care of people is in Annalisa’s nature, so creating a nurturing space, giving people time to breathe and let go is the beauty of her teaching practice. Her classes are fun, informative and practical, helping students grow, learn and make positive changes in the physical and soulful side of their lives.
Annalisa studied with Deepak Kumar Sharma and Magdalena Mecweld of Sampoorna Yoga in Goa, India. Bhavani Loraine Nelson of Kripalu Center in Boston. She also studied with Ann-Marie Boudreau of Transformational Arts College in Toronto and Julie Ditta of Whole Soul in Whitby in instrumental and sound therapeutics. She has completed her Restorative teacher training with Andrea Peloso – an assistant to internationally-recognized Judith Lasater – and is Certified as a Laughter Yoga Leader, having learned from author and televised facilitator, Sylvie Dagenais-Douville in Ottawa, Ontario.
In addition, Annalisa is a Certified Compassionate Bereavement Care Provider, having studied with the Centre for Loss and Trauma, in partnership with the MISS Foundation and the Elisabeth Kubler-Ross Family Trust in Arizona.
Annalisa continues to attend workshops and seminars every chance she has and also lends her skills to a number of organizations, including seniors clubs, retirement homes, hospital rehabilitation departments, women's crisis centres as well as, hospice and 2SLGBTQ+ friendly organizations.
Ultimately, every practice teaches Annalisa ’something new about me; its a privilege to work and practice yoga everywhere I go’

Release tight hip muscles and stress at the same time
Get a new perspective on mobility and stress management; stretch and release tension in the hips! Tight hip muscles can lead to misalignment of the hips and pelvis, and overarching of the lower back. “Hip opening” yoga poses can lead to immediate relief of this muscular tension and with practice lead to increased mobility and better posture (and a calmer mind).
